Weird Confrontation
Weird Confrontation
I sat on the grass, and looked at the dog,
Sitting on his haunches, ten feet away;
And he calmly looked back at me, that day.
Motionless, like two lifeless stone statues,
Fully into each other's eyes we stared;
To see the first moves, which one of us dared;
I studied his canine body language,
While he stared silently at me to find,
To fathom all the thoughts I had in mind;
Our confrontation lasted minutes,
Then the dog stood up, turned, and walked away;
It really was weird, what happened that day.
