The Sun

I have often travelled with dark shadows of the night,
Groping out, and fumbling about for some guiding light,
The highways, roads and paths did all twist and turn and wind,
They were filled with nameless, fearful demons of the mind.
At times I had a friendly star shed some rays of hope,
To trash and beat the stress and woes which I had to cope,
But I know for sure for me to win out in life's end,
I will need the burning fire of the sun as friend.
