The Perfect Pair

She was splendid in radiant white,
With fresh red roses in her hand,
Tall and slim in her splendid gown,
On finger was her wedding band.


She smiled at her short, fattish spouse,
He smiled back with a broken tooth,
His strawish hair was like a broom
(like those sold in a market booth).


She glided sweetly down the aisle,
He waddled along by her side,
And as they took their wedding vows,
He was ready to kiss his bride.


And all the guests politely said,
Oh what a perfect pair they made.
